Join Cosmo 1:1, the leading online learning platform, connecting K-12 students in the US, Canada, and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for tailored, one-to-one lessons.
As a tutor, you will enjoy a flexible schedule, creating your own availability while delivering lessons to ESL students in Singapore and Hong Kong.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators to make a meaningful impact in the after-school setting. Meet with students weekly at set times for 50-minute 1:1 sessions. Create warm, engaging, and supportive learning environments that foster student growth.
Requirements for tutors include reliability, preparation, connectedness, passionate teaching, and a kind demeanor.
Position Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $20 USD base rate + incentives & bonuses

Cosmo Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide personalised 1:1 instruction tailored to each student
- Update availability in the Cosmo App on time
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials aligned with student age and ability
- Submit class feedback post-lesson
- Maintain professional communication with parents and students
- Join classes on time in a professional setting
- Stay in touch with Cosmo support staff
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience teaching K-12 ELA
- Familiarity with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification preferred but not mandatory
- Technical setup:
- Fast, reliable internet connection
- Access to a Windows or Mac PC with 6000+ CPU
- Ability to commit to 6+ months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available between 8 AM–2 PM GMT (Mon–Fri) or 5 AM–2 PM GMT (weekends)
- Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability
- ESL sessions in Singapore & Hong Kong (GMT+8)
- Class schedules set to align with Asian time zones
