Teach Online at Cosmo 1:1
Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premiere online learning platform that connects K-12 students across the US, Canada, and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalised lessons.
As a tutor for Cosmo 1:1, you’ll set a flexible and consistent schedule while teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum. Ideal for experienced educators, this role involves virtual 1:1 lessons in an after-school setting.
Your responsibilities include supporting students, fostering a welcoming and fun learning environment, and embodying a reliable, kind, and professional presence—arriving on time, prepared, and with enthusiasm to nurture student growth.

Cosmo Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide personalised 1:1 instruction tailored to students’ needs
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly
- Prepare and use suitable lesson materials based on age and ability
- Submit Class Feedback post-lesson
- Communicate with students and parents professionally
- Attend all classes on time in a professional, quiet setting
- Maintain open communication with Cosmo staff
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience teaching K-12 in English Language Arts (ELA)
- Familiarity with K-12 ELA standards and curricula
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification preferred but not mandatory
- Fast internet connection and a Windows/Mac PC (6000MHz CPU min.)
- Commitment to a minimum of 6 months with Cosmo 1:1
- Availability between:
- 8 AM – 6 PM GMT (Mon-Fri)
- 5 AM – 2 PM GMT (Weekends)
- ≥20 hours of weekly availability
- A private, quiet teaching location
- A passion for supporting student learning
- Currently based in the UK
