Due to increasing workloads Xiom are looking for an EXPERIENCED shot-blaster to join our team on-site in Forfar, Angus, North East Scotland in our blasting and coating workshop. This position would suit someone local to the area. Please note this is NOT an offshore position, this is a full time position based in Forfar, Angus, DD8 1TD where no accommodation is provided so employees must travel to and from the workshop every day. Applicants without experience will not be considered.

Applicants must have experience working all day inside a large industrial blast bay and in blasting using chilled iron, alu-oxide and crushed glass and be able to identify between SA 2/2.5/3.
The range of components requiring blasting will differ between steel containers/frames through to intricate subsea blocks/tool parts so candidates must have good attention to detail and a knowledge of masking prior to blasting.
Job role will also include maintenance of blast room, masking/de-masking, handling of parts etc so experience is essential.

Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-1pm with overtime available when required. This is a permanent position for a full time employee to fit into our small friendly team.
