In operation since 1985, Barrow Gas Terminal is a key piece of the UK’s energy infrastructure and supports the Morecambe Bay gas fields. The terminal has played a long-standing role in processing and delivering natural gas, supporting both local employment and national energy supply.

With a focus on safety, environmental sustainability, and community engagement, we believe in operational excellence at every stage of production. If you are ready to take the next step in your career with a dynamic and energetic team, then we are keen to hear from you.

THE OPPORTUNITY – ONSHORE INSTALLATION MANAGER

The OIM ensures the effective execution of the production operating plan, oversees Control of Work (CoW) activities to support maintenance and asset fitness for service, and owns short-term operational planning, including the 28-day plan. The role also holds accountability for managing risk through the critical equipment register, ensuring prioritisation of work to protect safety, integrity, and production continuity.

In addition, the OIM provides resilience within the organisation by supporting operational continuity, including acting as emergency cover for the Production Supervisor when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
