Role Description
The Onsite Manager is a full-time role based on-site in Croydon, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction and refurbishment activities. This role involves:
- Coordinating site operations
- Supervising trades and subcontractors
- Ensuring work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Managing schedules to keep projects on time and within scope

The Onsite Manager will:

- Monitor progress
- Resolve site issues
- Communicate with clients and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to site activities
- Enforce health and safety procedures
- Conduct site inspections
- Support continuous improvement in work processes and standards
Qualifications
- Strong site management skills, including supervision of teams, coordination of multiple trades, and oversight of daily construction activities.
- Experience in refurbishment, property improvement, and building maintenance, ideally including bathrooms, kitchens, plumbing, electrical, and fire stopping works.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe work practices on construction sites.
- Proficient in scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking using basic project management tools and methods.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g., construction management, building trades, SMSTS/SSSTS or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Proven experience as an onsite or site manager, foreperson, or similar leadership role in construction or refurbishment projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
