Site Manager
Local Project | School Refurbishment
Trevor James Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established local property development company to recruit an experienced Site Manager for an exciting school refurbishment project.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a £500,000 renovation project, overseeing the refurbishment of a local school from start to finish. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role
As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring the project progresses smoothly through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations on site.
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with Health & Safety legislation.
- Monitoring project progress against programme and budget.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and resolving issues as they arise.
- Liaising with the Contracts Manager, client, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Managing site documentation, inductions and compliance records.
- Ensuring the project is completed on time and handed over to an exceptional standard.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or construction projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to site management.
- Full UK driving licence.
