User Support Technician HMRC Workplace Services Portsmouth (Cosham)

Are you Customer Obsessed? Can you work passionately and collaboratively within a team of like-minded Customer Service focused engineers? Do you want to be proud to work for a company that respects its people and is at the forefront of technology? We are looking to grow our team with committed people to provide on-site IT services for our HMRC customer in Portsmouth. This is your world and your opportunity to shape it for the better.

Shape your world

We are looking for a dynamic and driven IT Technician to be the face of Fujitsu working with end users on the HMRC account. Your role will primarily involve delivering face-to-face IT support to users at a Connect IT Bar within the HMRC Regional Centre in Portsmouth. You will be working alongside other IT technicians on site. You will provide:

  • User support at the Connect IT Bar.
  • Support for Network devices, PCs, Laptops, Surface Pros, Telephony devices and other locally installed peripherals.
  • Support for AV setup within meeting rooms and completion of checks to confirm meeting rooms are fully operational.
  • Management and delivery of local moves and changes on site.
  • Support of official Homeworkers when required (off-site visits).
  • Development of key relationships with end user HMRC staff in various business areas.
  • Provision of support to relevant Fujitsu (and sometimes HMRC) third parties.
  • Feedback on perceived issues, to ensure new services are engaged successfully, negating problems before they arise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
