Open Banking Digital Product Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Payments professional to join our team in the role of Open Banking Digital Product Manager. You’ll act as a digital product manager within the Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) Open Banking team, responsible for developing and managing Open Banking journeys and products that capitalise on Open Banking opportunities, adding value to customers and generating revenue or cost savings. In this role you will: Assume E2E responsibility for the delivery of commercial RBW Open Banking journeys, including management of risks and issues and compliance with all relevant regulatory HSBC policy requirements Ensure requirements are well articulated, taking into consideration customer needs and regulatory obligations Collaborate with product and distribution colleagues in RBWM to define costs and customer benefits and develop business cases Work with technology, and where relevant with external vendors, to ensure requirements are well understood and that products deliver on customer needs Drive delivery, identifying and escalating risks as required Act as a product owner for Open Banking journeys in production, ensuring they remain performant, compliant and continue to deliver against changing customer needs, while adapting to a rapidly changing industry Assist the Head of Open Banking product in managing strategic vendors and external organisations e.g. schemes, standard bodies To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Experience in project management and tech delivery lifecycle, ideally within HSBC Track record in digital journey development and / or digital product management Open Banking knowledge, including a good understanding of the UK regulatory environment and use cases is highly desirable Good understanding of customer needs, and experience in delivering them through digital journeys Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same Ability to influence without authority Good understanding of risk management, ideally in a digital context within HSBC Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely, including presenting technical information to non-technical audiences This is a hybrid role and can be based in London, Birmingham, Chester, Leeds or Sheffield.
