Oscar Ip & Co is a multi-award-winning chartered accountancy and tax advisory practice based in Liverpool, serving over 1,500 clients across the UK with specialist expertise in cross-border and international tax matters. We operate trilingually in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and we take pride in the long-term relationships we build with our clients and our team.
The role
We are looking for an Operations & Payroll Specialist to join our Liverpool office. This is a varied, hands-on position sitting at the centre of the practice, supporting both our payroll function and the day-to-day running of the office.

What you will be doing
- Payroll processing, including RTI submissions to HMRC and pension auto-enrolment management.
- Following up with HMRC and Companies House on client applications.
- Managing client appointments, reception, and correspondence.
- Overseeing office administration, supplies, and facilities.
- Maintaining document management systems in line with GDPR requirements.
What we are looking for
- Fluent English and Cantonese are essential.
- Relevant payroll or administrative experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.
- Conversational Mandarin is an advantage.
- Familiarity with HMRC processes is welcome but not required.
