About the Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to join our Claims Operational Excellence team at Tesco Insurance and Money Services. Ideal for a proactive, analytically driven individual, this role focuses on challenging assumptions, identifying gaps, and ensuring clarity on success metrics before diving into data.

Key responsibilities will include bridging gaps between stakeholders and technical teams, driving change, and shaping the future of our Claims operation.


Responsibilities

  • Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with ** organisational goals** and are understandable across disciplines.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally (marketing, operations, IT, governance) to deliver project-driven improvements.
  • Defining project requirements, gathering insights through workshops and meetings, and translating needs into functional data-driven stories.
  • Stakeholder presentations using data visualisation, compelling storytelling, and impactful communication to influence decisions at every level.
  • Analysing operational performance to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Challenging and refining current processes, reports, and MI frameworks for quality, relevance, and impact.
  • Mitigating risks and ensuring compliance via data-led insights and recommendations.
  • Conducting data collection and research across varied sources to support trend analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Balancing prioritisation and workload management to meet deadlines while driving business value.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Essential)

  • Proven experience in data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Lookers, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, translating technical analysis into clear business insights.
  • Experience in data-driven roles, with a track record of insight-led decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills—bridging gaps between complex data and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including interpreting ambiguous data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Experience gathering requirements, providing tailored insights, and supporting operational outcomes.
  • Understanding of data governance, controls, and data integrity.
  • Ability to evaluate, improve, and challenge MI & reporting, focused on continuous enhancement.
  • Self-discipline to plan, prioritise, and deliver high-quality outputs within timelines.
  • A proactive mindset—identifying process gaps and initiating improvement projects.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and enhance other team members’ capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with experience managing large, complex datasets.

Bonus Experience (Desirable)

  • Previous exposure to regulated or financial services environments.
  • Expertise in advanced analytical tools (SAS, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent).
