Operational Analyst – Production Planning & Forecasting

Alexander Steele Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit an Operational Analyst – Production Planning & Forecasting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional to play a key role in production planning, forecasting and operational performance within a fast-paced FMCG environment. Working closely with production, supply chain, logistics and commercial teams, you'll use data and demand trends to support efficient production planning and drive continuous improvement.

  • Produce accurate production forecasts using sales trends and historical data.
  • Develop and maintain production planning models to optimise output, stock and raw materials.
  • Work collaboratively across production, supply chain and commercial functions to align plans with customer demand.
  • Monitor seasonal trends and promotions to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Deliver reporting and insights to support operational decision-making and identify process improvements.

About You

  • You'll ideally have:
    • Experience in production planning, forecasting or supply chain analysis within food manufacturing or FMCG.
    • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • A proactive, commercially aware approach with the ability to work across multiple teams.
    • Experience within food or meat manufacturing would be advantageous.
