Job Description

About evoke plc

Here at evoke plc, our Operational Assurance team is part of the 2nd line of defense within our Regulatory Compliance and Risk Assurance department. The department uses a data-led and risk-based approach to provide innovative, independent, and objective assurance and monitoring. This safeguards our customers and ensures the integrity of evoke, leading to robust regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

Role Overview

Based in Leeds or London, in this role you'll lead and develop a team of Assurance Analysts. You'll deliver high-quality process and outcome testing across the business. You'll provide independent assurance over the effectiveness of controls, adherence to policies, and the delivery of fair customer outcomes. Additionally, you'll be responsible for planning and overseeing assurance activities, ensuring testing is risk-based, robust, and aligned to departmental objectives.

You'll challenge findings, support the production of clear and actionable reports, and work closely with stakeholders to promote understanding of risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and People Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Assurance Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Engagement: Actively engage with business forums and governance meetings to communicate assurance outcomes, discuss emerging risks, and support effective risk management.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively to drive consistency in testing methodologies and strengthen assurance practices.
  • Planning and Oversight: Plan and oversee assurance activities, ensuring testing is risk-based, robust, and aligned to departmental objectives.
  • Planning & Resource Management: Develop and manage assurance plans, prioritise activities, allocate resources, and deliver against agreed timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management and Influencing: Engage, challenge, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Data Analysis: Interpret data, identify trends, determine root causes, and recommend practical solutions to improve controls and customer outcomes.
  • Methodology Improvement: Improve assurance methodologies, testing frameworks, reporting standards, and team capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
