Role Overview and Responsibilities

TT Electronics, Abercynon is hiring for a Buyer to join our busy Purchasing team.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will ensure reliable, on-time, and fully available material supply from suppliers to our manufacturing site.

As our Supply Chain Operational Buyer, you will own supplier execution, shortage management, and mid-term supply assurance, ensuring materials arrive to the factory at the right time, in the right quantity, to the right quality and right cost to support production, and kitting requirements.

You will also oversee supplier inbound quality issues, especially where they affect material availability, to secure stable, interruption-free supply performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

Purchase Order & Logistics Execution

  • Ensure that all systems are up to date and have valid information.
  • Use the appropriate system to interrogate signals to ensure true, accurate, and timely release of purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Coordinate logistics activities as required to meet delivery requirements.
  • Support the concession process, where required.

Supplier Delivery Performance Management

  • Own and build strong day-to-day operational relationships with suppliers.
  • Update PO confirmations and identify risks in inbound supply.
  • Monitor and manage supplier adherence to delivery schedules, quantities, lead times, and costs.
  • Drive supplier recovery actions when performance falls below required levels.
  • Manage escalation processes for critical materials impacting production.
  • Ensure all data is reflected in the site operational shortage sheets, with an emphasis on actionable comments, delivery, and dates, and timely updates.
  • Take ownership of issue resolution internally to facilitate on-time delivery of products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
