Operational Excellence Manager, Europe

Operational Excellence Manager – Spreetail

Spreetail propels brands to increase their ecommerce market share across the globe while improving their operational costs. Learn more about Spreetail and how we build one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in history.

About the Role

Spreetail is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to drive process standardization and continuous improvement across our rapidly expanding European network (UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain). In this dynamic multi-site leadership role, you will be the central owner of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring seamless, optimized operations across all EU warehouse facilities.

We’re looking for a hands-on warehouse specialist with expertise in Lean methodologies, a passion for efficiency, and the ability to turn data-driven insights into cost savings and service excellence. If this excites you, we’d like you to shape the operational future of Spreetail EU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain a comprehensive standard operating procedure (SOP) library for all critical warehouse workflows, including:
    • Inbound receipts
    • Outbound fulfilment
    • Returns processing
    • Inventory management
  • Conduct regular operational audits across all warehouse sites, ensuring compliance with SOPs and identifying actionable improvement opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S), with a focus on:
    • Labor efficiency
    • Warehouse space optimization
    • Process waste reduction
  • Oversee Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) programs, including:
    • Cycle counts, wall-to-wall audits
    • Investigations into discrepancies and inventory discrepancies
  • Establish, monitor, and refine a robust KPI framework for warehouse performance, supporting managers with root-cause analysis and targeted improvement plans
  • Collaborate with 3PL partners, Technology (Linnworks), and Transportation teams to align processes, integrate systems, and support new facility launches
  • Develop training materials and conduct on-site workshops to ensure ifloor teams are aligned with best practices during SOP rollouts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
