About the Opportunity
Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability, and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station.

Working in both client-facing and internal roles, we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high-quality, and on-time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Amentum is currently recruiting an Operational Excellence Project Manager who has proven experience in leading transformation, operational excellence, or continuous improvement initiatives, ideally within the nuclear industry or large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Agile, and change management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design, facilitate, and lead training sessions, workshops, and cross-functional improvement events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an advantage in an international and multicultural environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Lists, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
- Strong active listening and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand operational challenges, identify root causes, and develop pragmatic, value-driven solutions in close collaboration with frontline teams.
