Are you passionate about driving meaningful change and embedding a culture of continuous improvement? We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Transformation Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping our operations and delivering sustainable performance improvements. This is a high-impact role with clear progression opportunities. You’ll have the chance to step into broader leadership responsibility, influence strategy, and shape the future direction of operational excellence across the business.

In this senior role, you will lead the development and implementation of lean processes across the organisation. Working closely with the Operational Excellence Manager, you will drive transformation initiatives that enhance performance, reduce variation, and build continuous improvement capability across teams.

About You

We are looking for a commercially aware, pragmatic leader with a strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Be part of a high-performing, collaborative team shaping operational excellence in aerospace. Lead meaningful change, mentor future leaders, and advance your expertise in lean operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of lean and continuous improvement strategies
  • Drive process optimisation and variation reduction initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops, improvement projects, and problem-solving sessions
  • Coach and mentor teams to strengthen continuous improvement capability
  • Influence stakeholders across the business to embrace change
  • Support cross-functional teams in delivering transformation projects
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence
  • Deliver training to enhance lean knowledge and application
  • Identify opportunities and implement cost-effective improvements

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in operational excellence, lean, or continuous improvement roles
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt desirable)
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to lead across teams without direct authority
  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Confident communication skills across all organisational levels

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
