Department: InfoSec Location: London (3 days on-site) Contract: Full-time

About the Role

JET’s Information Security (InfoSec) organisation protects a technology-led, cloud-native platform serving millions of customers across multiple markets. The Security Governance function sets the standards that keep a large, cloud-native technology organisation secure and compliant.

As the Operational Governance Lead, you will:

  • Own the operational delivery of JET’s governance framework.
  • Maintain policies and controls, run assurance processes, and embed security requirements into engineering and product delivery.
  • Act as the day-to-day connective tissue between:
    • L1 Engineering
    • L2 Risk and Compliance
    • L3 Audit
  • Ensure control evidence flows smoothly and exceptions are resolved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operationalise JET’s:

    • Security governance documentation
    • Policies and standards
    • Control models Keeping them aligned with JET’s risk appetite and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF and ISO 27001).
  • Run governance forums and working groups, ensuring:

    • Decisions are documented.
    • Trends are tracked.
    • Communication with:
      • Engineering
      • Risk
      • Compliance teams remains timely and effective.

  • Coordinate:

    • Evidence gathering across L1 (engineering) and L2 (risk & compliance).
    • Support audit cycles, maintaining a clear, accountable control registry.
  • Draft and refine technical security standards for:

    • Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Third-party integrations Working with Engineering Leads to embed these into delivery workflows.
  • Track and manage:

    • Exceptions and remediation plans with technical owners.
    • Escalate risks where necessary.
    • Maintain visibility across the Three Lines of Defence (ToLD).
  • Build and maintain KPI/KRI dashboards that provide:

    • Clear, accurate visibility of:
      • Control health
      • Compliance posture
  • Serve as decision-making reference for leadership.


Who You Are

You’ll bring:

  • Expertise in Information Security Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) within a:

    • Technology-led or cloud-first organisation.
    • Proven experience in operating governance frameworks at scale, aligning speed and compliance.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and controls:

    • NIST CSF, ISO 27001.
    • Practical application in cloud infrastructure, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally, translating:

    • Audit and compliance requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
    • Avoid creating undue friction or overburdening teams.
  • Core communication skills to explain:

    • Governance requirements to:
      • Technical engineers
      • Non-technical stakeholders (risk/database teams, and leadership)
