Our Head Office is based in Stockton-on-Tees and is home to our administrative support teams, engineering & maintenance support team & energy services teams. The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for an Operational Management Support Specialist. In this role you will drive operational excellence by providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and training across the px Power & Renewable portfolio, and ensuring consistent implementation of company operating standards, policies, and best practices.

You’ll be supported with personalized on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train, mentor, and develop Operational Site Managers, Departmental Managers, Supervisors, and operations teams on company procedures, systems, and Operational excellence / Good Practice.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of company operating standards across px assets.
  • Lead Competence Management process at Operational sites.
  • Evaluate site operations and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance.
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership to develop action plans that address operational challenges and improve performance.
  • Conduct operational audits and monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • HND qualified in an Engineering or Operations discipline, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Plant Manager, Asset Manager or similar level role in a 24/7 industrial environment.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing operational standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Experience conducting operational assessments and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
