Operational Resilience Manager

Operational Resilience Manager
The Operational Resilience Manager will report to the Head of Operational Resilience and will play an important role in managing delivery of agreed Operational Resilience activities across Haleon.
The role will support the implementation of the Operational Resilience Framework by coordinating workstreams, managing actions, tracking progress, supporting governance and helping ensure that resilience activity is delivered in a structured and consistent way.
This is a practical delivery management role. It will work closely with business continuity, crisis management, digital and technology, cyber, QSC, supply chain, procurement, physical security and other functional stakeholders to support delivery of the Operational Resilience programme.
The role will help translate agreed priorities into clear plans, actions, reporting and follow-up, ensuring that risks, issues and dependencies are visible and appropriately escalated.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery and Coordination
- Provide subject matter expertise, across the whole lifecycle of Operational Resilience, to internal stakeholders
- Manage agreed Operational Resilience workstreams and delivery activity.
- Coordinate actions, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues across relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain delivery plans, action logs, trackers and progress updates for projects, programmes and live events
- Support the implementation roadmap for Operational Resilience uplift activity.
- Ensure delivery activity is structured, practical and aligned to agreed priorities.
- Identify delivery blockers, ownership gaps or overdue actions and escalate where appropriate.
- Support preparation of updates for the Head of Operational Resilience and relevant governance forums.
Governance and Reporting Support
- Support Operational Resilience governance activity, including meeting preparation, action tracking and follow-up.
- Prepare draft agendas, governance packs, progress updates and reporting materials.
- Coordinate input from business and functional stakeholders for governance meetings.
- Track decisions, actions, risks and issues arising from governance forums.
- Support regular reporting on Operational Resilience activity, progress, risks and improvement actions.
- Help ensure reporting is concise, evidence-based and focused on progress, risk and areas needing attention.
Business Continuity Management Support
- Coordinate agreed business continuity activity across relevant functions, markets and sites.
- Support the review and improvement of business continuity plans, evidence and testing records.
- Track business continuity actions, gaps, review dates and improvement activity.
- Support the development and maintenance of practical templates, guidance and briefing materials.
- Work with plan owners and functional teams to improve the consistency, usability and quality of continuity planning.
- Support and deliver training and awareness activities relating to business continuity expectations
- Prepare and facilitate exercises and other validation activities

Critical Business Services (CBS) and Dependency Activity
- Coordinate activity linked to Critical Business Services, outcome and dependency mapping, impact assessments and recovery planning.
- Track actions and information requests relating to CBS and resilience planning.
- Support engagement with relevant teams to gather inputs on dependencies, recovery arrangements and resilience gaps.
- Help maintain visibility of CBS-related actions, owners, due dates and progress.
- Support the development of practical materials that help connect CBS activity to resilience planning, crisis response and business continuity.
Crisis Management Readiness and Exercises
- Coordinate agreed crisis management readiness activity.
- Support planning and delivery of crisis management exercises, workshops and training activity.
- Prepare supporting materials, participant information, exercise records and action trackers.
- Capture lessons identified from exercises and support follow-up through to closure.
- Maintain crisis management documentation, exercise records and supporting materials.
- Support improvements to crisis management plans, Gold Crisis Support Team materials, playbooks and escalation arrangements.
- Support live event readiness and response activities, including long term thematic taskforces
Gold Crisis Support Team Support
- Support ongoing development and maintenance of Gold Crisis Support Team materials.
- Maintain role descriptions, contact lists, activation materials, operating procedures and supporting documents.
- Coordinate readiness checks, training records, exercise outputs and improvement actions.
- Train CST members and support ongoing skills development for the CST team
- Ensure Gold CST materials are maintained in a controlled and accessible document set.
- Track actions and feedback relating to Gold CST readiness and escalate gaps where required.
Training, Awareness and Community Support
- Maintain Community of Practice and Sharepoint materials and content
- Coordinate agreed Operational Resilience training activity.
- Support preparation and maintenance of training materials, guidance and awareness content.
- Manage training logistics, attendance records, feedback collection and follow-up actions.
- Support the Operational Resilience Community of Good Practice.
- Coordinate community sessions, updates, learning events, case studies and knowledge-sharing activity.
- Use AI tools, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Viva Engage to support engagement and access to materials.
- Capture themes, feedback and improvement opportunities from training and community activity.
Assurance and Continuous Improvement Support
- Support assurance activity, reviews, validation exercises and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain visibility of assurance findings, improvement actions, owners, due dates and progress.
- Coordinate follow-up with action owners to support closure of agreed actions.
- Help identify recurring themes, overdue actions or areas where additional support may be needed.
- Support continuous improvement of Operational Resilience tools, templates, reporting and ways of working.
Data, Documentation and Microsoft Tooling
- Use Microsoft 365 tools to support delivery management, collaboration, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain effective use of all tools including SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Power BI, Copilot and Viva Engage.
- Support a clear single source of truth for Operational Resilience materials.
- Work with the Analyst to ensure trackers, dashboards, repositories and evidence packs are accurate and current.
- Use data and reporting to improve visibility of delivery progress, action closure and resilience improvement activity.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain effective working relationships across functions, markets, sites and capability owners
- Coordinate input from stakeholders across business continuity, crisis management, technology, cyber, QSC, supply chain, procurement and physical security.
- Act as a practical point of contact for Operational Resilience delivery activity.
- Support stakeholders in understanding agreed actions, timelines and evidence requirements.
- Escalate unresolved issues, delays or delivery risks where required.
Experience And Qualifications
- Experience in operational resilience, business continuity, crisis management, enterprise risk, programme delivery, security, supply chain resilience or a related discipline.
- Relevant Qualifications (e.g. BCI, DRI) and familiarity with industry standards (e.g. ISO22301) considered a benefit
- Proficiency with AI tools
- Experience managing workstreams, stakeholders, actions, risks, issues and dependencies. Programme management skills (e.g. PRINCE2) considered a benefit.
- Experience supporting governance forums, reporting packs and action tracking.
- Excellent technical understanding of business continuity, crisis response, incident management and organisational resilience principles.
- Experience supporting exercises, workshops, training or crisis simulations.
- Experience in preparing risk-based resilience and response to live incidents
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Forms and Viva Engage.
- Experience with Power BI or other dashboard / reporting tools would be beneficial.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare clear updates, summaries and governance materials.
- Confident and experienced in delivering training to practitioners and non-expert audiences.
