Operational Resilience Manager

Leading UK Clearing Bank | London (Hybrid, 3 days in office) | £75,000–£85,000

One of only six UK clearing banks with direct access to the country’s payment systems, we combine modern, cloud-native technology with secure, API-driven banking solutions. Our work shapes the future of business finance—fast, compliant, and built for growth.

About the Role

This high-impact, senior position reports directly to the COO. The Operational Resilience Manager will lead the maintenance and continuous enhancement of our Operational Resilience Framework and Business Continuity Management (BCM), interpreting regulatory expectations into practical outcomes across the organisation.

You’ll oversee a direct report specialising in BCP deliverables, collaborating closely with stakeholders in Operations, Technology, Risk & Compliance, and Internal Audit to embed resilience by design—keeping the business always ready for disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the Operational Resilience capability, including:
    • Identification of Important Business Services (IBS) and Impact Tolerances
    • End-to-end mapping, scenario testing, and embedding lessons learned
  • Own the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and resilient incident response procedures
  • Support incident and issue management, including:
    • Root cause analysis
    • Regulatory impact assessment
    • Timely remediation
  • Assess and manage the resilience of critical third-party dependencies and supply chains, including exit and contingency strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in resilience control maturity, translating vulnerabilities into actionable remediation plans
  • Collaborate with second and third-line functions for alignment, gap closure, and assurance
  • Ensure resilience is integrated into change and transformation initiatives from the outset
  • Own regulatory reporting processes, such as the annual Board-approved Operational Resilience Self-Assessment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
