Your New Company

Join a highly respected and purpose-driven organisation with a strong reputation for supporting professionals across the healthcare sector. With a collaborative culture and a commitment to strong governance, the organisation is continuing to invest in its risk management capability and is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to support the development and enhancement of its operational risk framework.

Your new role

As Operational Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Governance team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify, assess, monitor and manage operational risks. You will support the development of a robust risk culture by ensuring effective risk assessment, reporting, control testing and mitigation activities are embedded throughout the organisation.

A key responsibility of the role will be overseeing the rollout and implementation of a new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure successful adoption of the platform, improve risk reporting capabilities, enhance data quality and support the integration of risk management processes into day-to-day operations.

You will lead the continued improvement of operational risk monitoring and reporting, undertake gap analyses, develop key risk indicators and provide insight into emerging and existing risks. You will also prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and governance committees, helping to inform strategic decision-making and business planning activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
