Every Child Known. Every Child Included. Every Child Able to Thrive.
Burton Borough School is seeking an ambitious, organised and passionate Operational SEND Lead to join our thriving Inclusion Team at an exciting stage in our school's journey. Located in the picturesque market town of Newport, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, our school offers excellent access to Shrewsbury, Stafford, Telford and Wolverhampton, making it an ideal location for achieving a positive work-life balance.
As part of the Learning Community Trust, Burton Borough School is committed to delivering an inclusive, compelling and transformative education. We believe that inclusion is not an addition to school improvement, it is at the very heart of it. Our mission is to ensure every young person is known early, taught well, supported precisely and fully included in all aspects of school life.
At Burton Borough, we live and breathe our values: Ambitious, Proud and Caring. We are ambitious for every student and colleague, proud of our inclusive culture and high expectations, and caring in the way we support, challenge and nurture our school community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
