Operational Support Analyst
Operational Support Analyst – Central Transport
About the Role
As an Operational Support Analyst you will drive financial accuracy and process improvement across Central Transport. You will:
- Lead reporting for monthly and yearly closures
- Manage budget forecasting
- Oversee cost allocation and fleet analysis
By collaborating with Finance Business Partners and fleet operators, you will provide critical insights to support the strategic financial goals of Central Transport.
Additional Remuneration
For all hours worked between 22:00 – 06:00, applicants and current Partners enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements will be paid a Night Premium of £4.75 per hour.
Job Details
- Contract Type: 12-month fixed temporary contract (internally known as a Secondment)
- Location: Bracknell Head Office (Bracknell Campus, Doncastle Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 8YA)
- Working Pattern: Hybrid – balancing office (typically 3 days/week) and flexible remote work based on personal and business needs.
- Hours: 35 per week
- Salary: £40,000 – £58,500 per annum, dependent on skills, experience and seniority
- Closing Date: 9 July 2026
Key Responsibilities
The Operational Support Analyst will play a business-critical role in managing the fleet of commercial vehicles and cars within Central Transport. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing detailed monthly and yearly financial reports for Central Finance Teams
- Working with key stakeholders, including Finance Business Partners, Fleet Operators, and Workshop Managers, to establish robust processes for accurate reporting, KPI tracking, and process improvements
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle for Central Transport
- Coordinate the vehicle leasing process with banking partners
- Provide variance analysis to aid forecasting and yearly budget coordination
- Manage Partnership-wide cost allocation—collate and analyse data to ensure timely reporting to Central Finance
- Oversee fleet cost analysis, providing insightful reporting for Partnership decision-making
- Manage two Operational Support Technicians

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Knowledge of budgeting techniques and provision of key management information
- Practical experience in fleet operations, including vehicle workshops and KPIs
- Familiarity with vehicle leasing processes
- Experience managing a team (specifically small teams of technician support staff)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with Key2 fleet management systems
- Familiarity with car schemes such as Company Cars and Employee Car Ownership schemes
