Operational Team Leader
This advert is open to current East Suffolk Council staff only.
*Rotational shift pattern covering 06:30 to 22:00 weekdays and 06:30 to 14:30 at weekends which attracts a 14% shift allowance.
Your role
We are looking for a professional Operations Team Leader with excellent people management skills whose role will be to support the protection of public and animal health by leading, managing and developing a multidisciplinary team of Port Health colleagues.
You will manage the day-to-day functioning and operations of the Port Health Service, including operational management of shift teams and ensuring operational performance meets or exceeds objectives. You will also ensure that the service meets the organisational requirements for quality management, performance, health and safety and legal/regulatory requirements.
What you will need
We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in people management and extensive experience of working in an operational or service orientated environment. You will be organised, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure in a busy role. You will have experience of managing and motivating a team as well as knowledge of operational and people performance management.
