Operational Technology Cyber Security Consultant
Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security Consultant
Location: UK Wide: London, Manchester, Bristol, Belfast
Salary: £45,000 – £100,000
About the Role
We are seeking to expand our Cyber Security team with an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security Consultant in partnership with a leading technology and consulting organisation.
This is an opportunity to:
- Work on high-impact projects across critical national infrastructure
- Help organisations secure their Operational Technology (OT) environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and digital specialists
Key Responsibilities
You’ll focus on:
- Delivering cyber security solutions for OT and Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- Advising clients on OT cyber security strategy, risk management, and architecture
- Working with technologies such as:
- SCADA
- PLCs
- RTUs
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Process Control environments
- Conducting security assessments, risk analysis, and security monitoring activities
- Collaborating with agile, cross-functional delivery teams on complex client engagements

Requirements
Candidates must have:
- Experience in securing Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- Knowledge of:
- SCADA
- Distributed Control Systems
- PLCs
- RTUs
- Process Control
- Understanding of Industrial IoT (IIoT) and industrial data communications
- Experience with:
- OT cyber security architecture
- Risk management
- Security monitoring
- Familiarity with ** sécurité frameworks and standards** including:
- NIST Cyber Security Framework
- ISO 27001 / ISO 27005
- IEC 62443 / ISA-99
- NCSC CAF / National Infrastructure Sector (NIS) Guidance
- NERC CIP
- Experience working in one or more critical infrastructure sectors, such as:
- Energy
- Utilities
- Transport
- Water
- Oil & Gas
- Nuclear
