About the job.

National Highways has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Technology Demand Manager to join the Operations Control Division. As Operational Technology Demand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Operational Technology (OT) resources and services are effectively planned and available to support Major Projects, Operations Renewals schemes and Service Delivery teams. Working across a diverse portfolio, you will coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment with operational, contractual and programme needs.

This position will be based from any of our UK offices with a balance of remote and office-based work.

  • Ensure provision of operational technology equipment to schemes and maintenance within manufacturing standard lead times, keeping on top of changes to those equipment needs
  • Frequent engagement with scheme demand and service delivery stakeholders to validate requirements and identify equipment needs. Use of ancillary equipment calculators to help resolve gaps/discrepancies in scheme requests
  • Notifying the relevant Commercial Managers when equipment suppliers are not meeting their obligations, or if risks and issues are identified which need their intervention
  • Engage with wider Operational technology teams such as Digital Services and Safety Engineering Standards to understand operational technology road maps
  • Track and monitor the national operational technology renewal plan to identify changes and understand and manage stakeholders requirements e.g. late demand requests

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
