About Zenobē

Our mission is to make clean power accessible. We are passionate about making a positive impact on communities and the environment where we work.

We’re designing, financing, building, and operating the world’s most sophisticated battery systems to enable the uptake of more renewable power, electrifying fleets for cleaner air, and providing clean, portable power, including repurposed electric vehicle batteries. Our proprietary software and data analysis optimises operational performance for our customers to reduce emissions and costs.

Since we began in 2017, we’ve raised over £2.7 billion in debt and equity funding and transformed it into >1.2GW of grid-connected batteries live or under contract and c.3,400 electric vehicles supported. We have operations in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the US/Canada, with a global headquarters in London.

We’re the leading owner and operator of battery storage in the UK, supporting the National Grid with the uptake of renewable power. We also work with c.90% of the UK's major bus companies, powering 25% of the UK’s e-bus market. We’re also the number one owner and operator of e-buses in Australia and New Zealand and are quickly expanding into light commercial vehicles and trucks.

Our rapidly growing company is looking for highly talented and motivated people to join us.

The Opportunity

The Operational Technology Lead plays a critical role in enabling Zenobē’s transition from delivering individual projects to operating a highly scalable, repeatable, and efficient deployment model across its growing BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Technology, this role is responsible for developing and embedding the standards, templates, governance, and delivery frameworks that allow SCADA, control systems, and operational technology networks to be deployed consistently across multiple projects and customers.

Alongside this strategic responsibility, the Operational Technology Lead will remain actively engaged in the technical delivery of new BESS assets, working closely with customers, project teams, EPC contractors, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and system integrators to ensure OT solutions are designed, implemented, tested, and commissioned successfully.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver high-quality, secure, and operationally ready OT systems while building the repeatable frameworks, technical standards, and delivery practices required to support Zenobē’s continued growth and expansion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
