Operational Technology (OT) / Cyber Security Consultant
Locations: London, Bristol, Manchester, Belfast or Melbourn (Hertfordshire) Salary: £45,000 – £105,000 + excellent benefits Levels: Consultant, Senior Consultant & Principal Consultant Work Type: Hybrid (client site, office and remote-working depending on project needs)

As demand for Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security grows, they’re expanding their specialist cyber security practice and are hiring experienced consultants from Consultant to Principal Consultant levels.

- Advising on industrial control systems (ICS) and OT environments security across sectors such as energy, utilities, transport, manufacturing, water, oil & gas, and defence.
Core Responsibilities
Your exact responsibilities will scale with your level of experience, including:
- Delivering OT and ICS cyber security consulting engagements
- Conducting OT cyber risk assessments, security reviews, and maturity assessments
- Advising clients on securing SCADA, PLC, RTU, and Distributed Control System (DCS) environments
- Designing secure OT architectures, industrial network segmentation, and industrial security solutions
- Supporting regulatory compliance (e.g., NIS Regulations) and cyber security governance
- Developing OT cyber security strategies and remediation roadmaps
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams spanning cyber, engineering, and digital transformation
- Building trusting client relationships and presenting technical recommendations
- Leading project delivery and mentoring junior consultants (applies to Senior and Principal level roles)

An ideal candidate will have:
-
Experience with:
- Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or Industrial Cyber Security
- SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, DCS, or Process Control environments
- OT security architecture, industrial networking, or security monitoring
- Cyber risk management, security assessment methodologies, and security governance
- Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies
- Familiarity with key standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, NCSC CAF, or NIS Regulations
- Critical National Infrastructure sectors, including Energy & Utilities, Manufacturing, Transportation, Water, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Defence

Soft Skills:
- Proven communication ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Not Essential, But How We Think About Performance
- Previous experience in a consultancy setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
