The Role
Our new Operations Accountant will be a key member of the Livingston leadership team, partnering closely with operational colleagues to deliver financial insight that drives smarter decisions, improved performance and continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to combine strong financial control with genuine business partnering. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll influence operational performance, support strategic investment decisions and help optimise costs, stock and working capital, while leading and developing the site's finance team.
This is an onsite role, with 5 days a week based at our Livingston site.
Your Key Responsibilities
Working alongside site leadership, you will:
- Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting in line with Group deadlines.
- Partner with Operations to provide meaningful financial insight and performance analysis.
- Lead reporting on labour, yield, costs and operational KPIs to support business decisions.
- Ensure robust balance sheet controls, working capital management and cost control.
- Prepare high-quality CAPEX business cases and support investment decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance reporting, processes and cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead Research & Development claim reporting to maximise available opportunities.
- Develop, coach and support the site finance team while ensuring audit readiness and compliance.

The Ideal Candidate
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and making a visible impact on business performance.
You'll Have
- Experience within food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business partnering skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence analysing financial data.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and developing others.
