# Operations Accountant – Large Electric Power Solutions, Larne, Northern Ireland

About the Role
Career Area: Finance Grade: 23 Job Title: Operations Accountant Location: Larne, Northern Ireland Work Style: On-site presence, 37.5-hour week (5 days/week)
The EPD is your gateway to a dynamic, fast-paced world where your financial expertise shapes critical decisions. This role supports the Large Electric Power Solutions team with accounting, financial insights, and advanced analytics, all while contributing to sustainable solutions for global power applications (hospitals, data centres, disaster recovery, etc.). Here, your work makes a visible, impactful difference across diverse projects.
What You Will Do
Essential Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare precise journal entries, ensuring financial records reflect reality.
- Provide actionable financial insights to empower management decisions.

Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager in crafting the facility’s annual business plan.
- Develop, maintain, and refine quarterly forecasts and monthly variance analyses for variable/period costs.

Process Ownership:
- Lead monthly normals reporting and drive the annual rates-setting process.
- Develop innovative tools and analytics to streamline financial analysis, reducing inefficiencies.

- Decision Support & Ad-Hoc Analysis:
- Execute ad-hoc analyses on demand (material utilisation, factory efficiency, absorption, contracts, compliance).
What You Bring
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Proven financial analysis expertise: Display familiarity with techniques, technologies, and methodologies for interpreting financial documentation (statements, trends, ratios).
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, impactful conclusions.
- Experience in financial compliance regulation and stakeholder communication.
- Educated to bachelor’s level in accounting, finance, or a related business field.

- Technical Proficiency:
- Prior exposure to eSAP, Axiom, PowerBI, and Co-Pilot will be utilised and developed further.
- Professional Credentials:
- Certified or Chartered Accountant status will be an asset.
