Operations Administrator

Operations Administrator – 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Office-based, Cannock Salary: £26,227.50 per annum (pro rata) Contract Type: Fixed-term (9 months), Full-TimeContract

About the Role

We, Phoenix Health & Safety (part of Wilmington plc), are seeking a highly organised Operations Administrator to join our growing Operations team. This data-driven role is essential for ensuring the smooth running of the department, supporting students, and maintaining strong administrative processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer service – Responding to student enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Task management – Prioritising a high-volume workload under pressure.
  • Policy compliance – Ensuring course procedures and awarding body registrations are accurately followed.
  • Data accuracy – Managing delegate registrations, results submission, and reporting (adhering to KPI deadlines).

Key Responsibilities

  • Course administration
    • Managing course registrations, enrolments, and online accounts for delegates.
    • Processing and submitting course results to awarding bodies.
    • Ensuring delivery of certificates to students on time.
    • Compiling and distributing client reports.

Essential & Desirable Skills

Must-Have Capabilities

  • Proven experience as an Administrator (administrative/operational environment).
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, telephone).
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Independent worker with a proactive approach.
  • Experience adapting to new software packages.
  • Fully conversant in Microsoft Word and Excel – including intermediate/advanced functions.
