Operations and Customer Support Assistant
Warehouse and Customer Support Assistant
To support the day-to-day operations of Green Coffee Collective by assisting with production, packaging, and dispatch from our Belfast warehouse, and to provide friendly, efficient support to customers via email and chat.
This role combines hands-on warehouse work with customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, solving problems, and being part of a growing, values-driven coffee business.
Although this role is initially for 5 hours per week, there may be opportunity to increase this over the coming months with a view to transitioning to a full-time contract if it suits the successful candidate.
Tasks
Operational Support (approx. 85%)
- Handle and move green coffee bags (up to 69kg) safely and efficiently.
- Break down bulk coffee into smaller packaging units (0.5kg–5kg).
- Label and prepare orders accurately for dispatch.
- Use warehouse tools and systems including scales, label printers, Shopify, and ShipStation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
- Coordinate dispatch with couriers and on-site partners.

Customer Support (approx. 15%)
- Respond to customer queries via email and chat in a friendly and timely way.
- Use our ticketing system, Shopify, and Google Business Suite to manage and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the wider Green Coffee Collective team to ensure customers receive clear communication and quick resolutions.
Requirements
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently day-to-day.
- Strong written communication skills.
- A practical mindset and willingness to problem-solve.
- Interest in coffee or curiosity to learn about the industry.

Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or customer service environments.
- Familiarity with Shopify, ShipStation, or similar order management tools.
Benefits
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 10 paid hours per week.
- Holiday: 11.2 days annual paid leave (pro-rated). Bank holidays excluded.
- Pension: Enrolled in our workplace pension (NEST).
- Probation: 2 months.
- Notice: 1 week (during and after probation).
- Start Date: As soon as possible.

Everyone contributes to making sure roasters across Europe receive their coffee on time and in perfect condition. You’ll be supported by the wider Green Coffee Collective team and local partners at The Roast Works, with regular visits and open communication.
