Role This is a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Assistant to join Atrium to provide administrative support to several of our Underwriting teams.
Experience within the Insurance/ Lloyd's market is essential.
Experience using Whitespace or Subscribe systems/ similar premium messaging platforms is desirable.

Description
Task Management Perform accurate and timely risk and aggregate data entry into Atrium’s key systems. Conduct quality control checks on risk and aggregate data to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal standards. Identify and resolve discrepancies and queries, escalating where appropriate. Process and validate USM (Underwriting Signing Messages) and SCM (Signing & Claims Messages) in line with SLAs (Service Level Agreements), investigate and resolve message failures, exceptions and queries. Provide Operational support to Underwriting teams, ensuring efficient processing of transactions. Assist the Operations Assistant Team Leaders to deliver good results by maintaining agreed SLAs and meeting team KPIs. Actively contribute to a continuous improvement culture and identifying opportunities to improve process efficiencies, accuracy and control. Work confidently alongside Underwriting teams and building stakeholder relationships. Strengthen knowledge across multiple classes of business underwritten by Atrium. Assist with ad hoc operational tasks.

Stakeholder Management
Be a key contact for Underwriters and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of risks and resolution of queries. Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management skills, communicate clearly, manage queries efficiently and build effective working relationships across teams. Escalates issues to Operations Assistant team leaders, where appropriate.
Required Competencies
Time Management and Task Prioritisation: Good organisational skills, identifies key priorities within own workload and meets key reporting deadlines
Personal and Operational Development: Will complete all required training to develop a deep understanding of the underwriting process and supporting functions, proactively seeks further learning opportunities in these areas to understand the operation of other departments at Atrium and the wider London insurance market
Analytical: Has a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends or inefficiencies to improve processes
Relationship Management: Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders across different departments at Atrium and third-party providers.
Approachable and an effective communicator both written and verbally
Administration and Compliance: Able to operate at all times to the standards and rules of the regulatory bodies and those set out in the firm’s standards documents.

Required Knowledge and Skills
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s market processes and Syndicate Operations. Demonstrates practical knowledge of delegated authority and open market business and understands the operational and contractual differences. Familiarity with London Market Systems (e.g. PPL, Whitespace). Ability to manage own time well and work to meet numerous deadlines, both individually and alongside others. Ability to support teams/ departments at Atrium, working in a collaborative and innovative manner with all stakeholders, including third parties. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experienced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Achievement of, or active progress towards, the CertCII qualification is desirable.
