Operations Assistant
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £30,000–£50,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent | Full Time
About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, market-leading business within the industrial distribution sector for an Operations Assistant to join their growing team.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, providing key support across daily operations, customer service, logistics, and internal coordination. You'll work closely with multiple departments to ensure the smooth running of the business while helping to deliver an excellent experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day coordination of business operations.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure orders and enquiries are managed efficiently.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and operational administration.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and business documentation.
- Support process improvements and help drive operational efficiency.
- Provide administrative support to the wider management team.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong customer service skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Experienced in an Operations, Administration, Customer Service, or Business Support role.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and business systems.
