Operations Assistant
Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Near TF10 9AT
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full time 39 hours per week, flexible to work different shifts including early, late, weekend and bank holiday shifts

As an Operations Assistant in our Lilleshall National Sports Centre, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well-run environment where customers can enjoy high-quality leisure services. You’ll support the day-to-day operation of the centre while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who visits.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Your work has purpose, helping people stay active, healthy and engaged in their community. From maintaining safe facilities to supporting programmed activities, you’ll play an important role in creating positive experiences and making a positive impact on communities. Our work touches lives every day, and you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in delivering services people trust and value.
What you’ll do as an Operations Assistant
- Ensure customer safety at all times by helping to prevent accidents and responding appropriately to incidents
- Supervise dryside activities, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and customer care
- Set up, move and handle equipment safely to support programmed activities across the centre
- Carry out cleaning duties and maintain high standards of presentation in customer areas, including changing rooms, toilets and health suite facilities
- Monitor customer behaviour and address unsafe practices promptly, professionally and courteously
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a strong knowledge of the centre’s facilities, services and activities

Does this sound like you?
- Experience working in a busy leisure, hospitality or customer-facing environment
- Confidence interacting with a wide range of customers, including both adults and children
- A strong focus on safety, responsibility and attention to detail
- A positive and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A willingness to complete training and maintain any required qualifications
