Through our specialist divisions - topside, marine, subsea, cables, logistics and industrials, we are a pivotal link in the global offshore energy project chain, ensuring our customers’ projects are delivered safely, reliably and efficiently. We are currently seeking an Operations Assistant to join our Topside Division.
Location
Hartlepool, United Kingdom. This role is open to candidates based in the United Kingdom.
Contract
Fixed-term contract (6 months), working a 3/3 rotational schedule.
Core Purpose
Support the Operations Lead in the effective day-to-day coordination and delivery of project operations. Ensure operational activities are planned, organised, and executed efficiently by providing administrative and coordination support, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication across the project team to enable the successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist with the day-to-day coordination of project operations, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently and in line with project requirements.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the preparation and issuance of work permits, as required.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring accurate document control and the availability of both hard and electronic records on site.
- Ensure all safety certification is current, accurately maintained, and compliant with site and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) documentation is accurately maintained and complies with site and company requirements.
- Liaise with the head office to coordinate operational and administrative activities, as required.
- Assist in the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
- Attend all required safety, operational, and team meetings.
- Ensure office facilities are maintained in a clear, organised, and operational condition, with capacity to accommodate additional personnel when required.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and managing stores and equipment.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with OEG clients, suppliers, ensuring a high standard of service and collaboration.
- Assist in coordinating personnel and assets to support safe and efficient site operations.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring asset registers are maintained accurately and up to date.
- Prepare and submit personnel and asset timesheets to support timely and accurate invoicing.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

- Previous experience working on offshore wind farms is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to analyse problems and implement practical solutions.
- Maintains a calm and professional approach.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing business and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification, including Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, and Sea Survival, is desirable.
- Valid OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate is desirable.
