Location: Cropton (Pickering)

Salary: ÂŁ12.71 per hour

Working Hours: Full-time, 32 hours.

Days of Work: 4 days out of 7 - Your days of work will vary between Monday and Sunday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Assistant to join our lovely team at Cropton. Be a part of creating special escapes in one of North Yorkshire’s most beautiful forest locations, developing your skills while ensuring our cabins are beautifully prepared for every guest.

Nestled in a picturesque woodland meadow at the heart of Cropton Forest, our cabins offer a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Whether you’re an adventurer, a nature lover, or a stargazer, Cropton provides the perfect backdrop to work, grow, and help our guests make unforgettable memories.

About the Operations Assistant Role:

As our Operations Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our Forest location running smoothly behind the scenes. From maintaining our cabins to ensuring every facility is in top condition, your work plays a vital role in creating a seamless and enjoyable stay for every guest.

Set within a peaceful woodland environment, this role offers a refreshing alternative to typical maintenance positions. You’ll enjoy a balanced work schedule while working outdoors and as part of a supportive team, all while contributing to the unique Forest Holidays experience.

You’ll take a hands-on approach to a variety of operational tasks, ensuring everything is safe, functional, and ready for guests to enjoy from the moment they arrive.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring hot tubs are in perfect working order every day for our guests.
  • Completing general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating (basic knowledge desirable).
  • Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
  • Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin.

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal Operations Assistant will be a dynamic individual who applies a can-do attitude to solve any issues that may arise on location. You will be a team player, capable of building good working relationships with colleagues. A love for the outdoors is essential as these tasks need completing rain or shine every day of the year.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Great attention to detail, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
  • Some previous experience in a similar role.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in a natural setting, whatever the weather.
  • A full clean UK driving license.

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17:

  • 16 years: ÂŁ8.00 per hour
  • 17 years: ÂŁ10.85 per hour
