Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially aware and highly organised Operations Compliance Manager to support and strengthen the operational control framework of a physical commodities trading business.

The successful candidate will work closely with trading, operations, shipping, logistics, finance, IT and senior management to ensure that business processes are robust, efficient, compliant and scalable.
The role will suit someone who combines operational detail with broader process improvement capability. You will be expected to identify weaknesses, improve workflows, monitor quality standards, support audits, and help embed a practical quality management culture across the business.
This position requires strong communication skills, confidence working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to build effective relationships across both internal departments and external service providers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
