Operations Controller(Part Time)

Operations Controller Location: Glasgow Salary: £15,818 Hours: 20 hours per week Shifts: Monday to Friday, afternoon Contract: Permanent

The Role

As an Operations Controller, you’ll manage day-to-day courier resources within the Service Centre, ensuring deliveries and collections run efficiently while meeting customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

You’ll collaborate closely with the Service Centre Manager and Operations Manager to establish a KPI-driven environment focused on service, safety, and performance. This is a hands-on role where judgement, pace, and attention to detail are critical.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and allocating courier resources in line with customer SLAs and operational needs.
  • Monitoring courier performance and addressing underperformance.
  • Handling operational queries related to customers, couriers, and systems.
  • Keeping systems updated accurately (e.g., CityTrak/X-Despatch).
  • Supporting the onboarding and compliance of courier resources.
  • Collaborating on peak period planning to enhance performance.
  • Ensuring a safe, organised working environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an operational, logistics, or customer-focused environment.
  • A confident communicator who can manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable with KPI analysis, real-time decision-making, and system navigation.
  • Organised, resilient under pressure, and solution-oriented.
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred (but not essential): Experience with CityTrak/X-Despatch.

All successful candidates must undergo a DBS check.
