Operations Coordinator / Administrator
Location: London
Salary: £30,962
Contract Type: 12 months fixed term
Working Hours: Full time (35 hours per week). Standard working hours between 9am – 5pm.
Working Arrangements: London, hybrid homeworking (minimum 6 days a month in office).
About the Role
The Federation of the Royal College of Physicians is recruiting an Operations Coordinator to support delivery within specialist registration at the Joint Royal College of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB). This role provides additional operational capacity during a period of increased demand, helping to maintain performance, reduce risk, ensure timely processing of specialist registration applications and work collaboratively with other teams across JRCPTB.
Purpose and Scope
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide operational support to specialist registration processes during peak demand periods
- Deliver end-to-end processing of applications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with standard operating procedures
- Support performance against key operational metrics, including application turnaround times and enquiry response
- Support and coordinate stakeholders involved in curricula development
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and key stakeholders including Specialty Advisory Committees (SACs) and the General Medical Council (GMC).

About You
Essential
- Experience of working in an administrative or operational role in a busy or high-volume environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Desirable
- Experience of working within a healthcare, regulatory or education/training environment
- Experience of working with case-based or process-driven workflows.
