My client is a well-established and growing business within the power generation industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of their busy operations function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within hire, logistics, operations, engineering support or resource planning, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being at the heart of the operation.
Package
- £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

The Role
As the Operations Coordinator, you will become the central point of communication between customers, engineers, drivers, suppliers, and internal departments, ensuring resources are planned effectively and operational activities run efficiently.

You'll be responsible for coordinating engineers, managing equipment movements, supporting customers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards.
This is a varied role that requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities across the division.
- Schedule engineers, drivers, equipment and resources.
- Manage equipment deliveries, collections and service activities.
- Liaise with customers to confirm schedules and provide operational updates.
- Raise and manage contracts, purchase orders and work orders.
- Maintain accurate operational records and internal systems.
- Produce reports and provide operational updates to management.
- Work closely with transport, workshop and engineering teams to maximise operational efficiency.
- Resolve customer queries and operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a Coordinator, Controller, Hire Desk, Logistics, Operations or Resource Planning role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities within a busy operational environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using scheduling, transport, hire or operational systems.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while contributing as part of a wider team.
