Operations Development Lead
Hybrid: 3 days in Milton Keynes Office | £70,000 – £80,000

Our client is a leading asset leasing and fleet solutions provider, focused on scaling operations across multiple sectors and markets. With recent backing from a major global private equity investor, the company is accelerating its group transformation agenda, investing in operational excellence, digital capability, and international expansion.
This mission-driven role has been created to bridge central strategy and operational delivery, ensuring transformational initiatives are effectively embedded across regional businesses and teams.
The Role
As the Operations Development Lead, you’ll translate high-level strategic priorities into actionable change, driving performance improvements in:
- Operational performance
- Asset utilisation
- Process improvement
- Commercial optimisation
You’ll play a pivotal role in converting data-driven insights into prioritised action plans, engaging leadership teams and challenging current standards to maintain realistic, relevant, and continually improving targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the entire operational improvement cycle—from data collection to delivery.
- Develop and refine KPI frameworks to provide real-time visibility over site-level, regional, and group-wide performance metrics.
- Translate insights into strategic action plans, collaborating with regional and site leadership.
- Lead engagement through reporting, stakeholder communications, training, and performance forums.
- Push for measurable improvements, challenging and updating standards, targets, and benchmarks.
- Demonstrate expertise in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or business transformation.
- Work confidently with data analysis, performance reporting, and operational metrics.
- Influence senior stakeholders across multiple locations to drive change.
- Clearly link operational improvements to financial outcomes and value creation.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or transformation leadership.
- Strong ability to work with data-driven insights and translate them into strategic action.
- Experience influencing and engaging with senior operational stakeholders across decentralised locations.
- A track record of driving high-impact change at scale.
- A hybrid or flexible working model is suitable for your current situation.

Preferred
- Experience in asset or fleet management, process automation, or digital transformation.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics, performance dashboards, and predictive modelling.
