South-East UK | Executive Leadership Opportunity | Permanent

Our client is a highly successful, privately owned business operating within the specialist equipment hire sector. Having established an outstanding reputation for customer service and operational excellence, the business is now entering an exciting phase of growth.

With ambitious plans to significantly increase turnover over the next three years, they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join the Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in delivering the next stage of their strategic journey.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a board-level appointment with responsibility for leading all operational functions, including warehouse, workshop, transport, fleet, and health & safety.

This is far more than an operational leadership role. You'll be responsible for building a scalable operating platform capable of supporting substantial business growth while driving improvements in productivity, profitability, customer experience, and operational performance. Working alongside the wider leadership team, you'll help shape the long-term strategy of the business, ensuring operational excellence underpins continued commercial success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
