Blair West are supporting a boutique management consulting firm, who specialise in commercial due diligence (CDD), to find an Operations Director. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the executive team.
The role is integral to driving operational excellence across multiple functions, including HR, recruitment, finance, compliance, IT, marketing, and resourcing, enabling the business to scale effectively. This is an existing, key leadership role within the organisation.
The opportunity:
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong relationships with contractors and external recruitment partners.
- Oversee HR operations, including performance tracking, employee development pathways, and day-to-day HR issues.
- Manage resource allocation, forecasting, and project profitability across the business.
- Ensure governance, risk, and compliance standards are met, including financial reporting, auditing, and legal administration.
- Oversee payroll, back-office operations, IT systems, and process improvements, including AI/workstream initiatives.
- Plan and execute key marketing campaigns and company events to enhance brand presence and employee engagement.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally across multiple functions.
- Strong understanding of HR, finance, compliance, recruitment, and resourcing processes.
- Track record of building efficient systems and processes that drive performance and scale.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
