Working Hours - Mon - Fri - 07:30 - 17:00

We have an exciting new opportunity in our UK&I Ops team to join as an Operations Director, supporting the Midlands. The main purpose of this role will be to hold a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction within a specific geographic region.
As the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and growth of our plant and tool hire operations in the Midlands. You will ensure efficient delivery, cost control, and high-quality customer service, all while maintaining strong relationships with key clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Scotland & Ireland plant and tool hire business.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a dedicated team of regional managers, sales staff, and operational personnel.
- Drive operational efficiency, ensuring smooth processes in fleet management, delivery, and collection services.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and ensure profit maximisation across the region.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans to expand our customer base and increase market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
- Implement best practices to maintain equipment standards and quality control.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a senior operational management role within the plant and tool hire, construction, or similar sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent understanding of fleet management, logistics, and operational processes.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving profit.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
