Operations Director : Events Hire Company
Salary: A GBP 80,000 – A GBP 120,000
Location: Berkshire
We are thrilled to align with one of the premier events, TV and movie supply and hire companies. This role is an exceptional and rare opportunity in the market, and it requires a candidate with a unique blend of operations, projects, logistics and commercial awareness.
About The Position
The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of all operational aspects, including:
- Delivery and logistics of a busy schedule
- Fleet management and coordination
- Inventory control to ensure timely and accurate stock management
- Implementing a scalable and manageable system for stock control

A key aspect of this role is hands-on involvement. You’ll be leading actively in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The team is stable, experienced, and capable, with the potential to grow to 100+ staff during peak operational periods.
Ideal Operations Director
- Expertise: Leading multi-functional teams across complex operations in a creative environment, with specific experience in logistics, supply, and stock management.
- System Implementation: Proven ability to develop and manage stock control systems.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive performance.
- Optimisation: Demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements.
- Agility: Exceptional ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to get involved hands-on and lead from the front under pressure.
