Operations Engineer

(12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
(Linux, Infrastructure, VPN, Systems Administration)
Greater Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Salary up to £45,000 + Bonus

We have partnered with a Manchester-based technology company that is looking for an Operations Engineer to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Their platforms help some of the world's leading brands understand consumer behaviour by collecting and processing data at scale, and you'll play a key role in supporting the business-critical infrastructure behind these services.

You'll join a collaborative Operations team responsible for maintaining and supporting Linux-based production infrastructure and legacy VPN data capture platforms. This is a hands-on role where you'll help ensure critical systems remain secure, stable and highly available while troubleshooting issues, improving operational processes and supporting day-to-day platform performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
