What You’ll Be Doing

We’re seeking an Operations Executive to join our team in Liverpool. You’ll need to perform daily processing, checking, and compliance-adherent duties, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards, service level agreements (SLAs), and data quality controls.

This role is part of our ongoing talent pool development. Applying means your details will be retained, and our recruitment team may reach out for future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of all operations tasks, reporting anomalies to line managers within agreed deadlines.
  • Support KPI/KRI/MIR attainment, assist in MI collation (flagging issues to senior teams).
  • Resolve client and operational queries—in person, via phone, email, and systems—with professionalism, efficiency, and escalation when needed.
  • Maintain and update client correspondence and records, ensuring all documentation remains accurate and current.
  • Uphold high-quality workflows, minimise errors, and deliver consistently precise data entry, document checks, and escalations to managers as necessary.
  • Prioritise fair treatment and transparency in client interactions—ensuring empathy, clarity, and integrity across all communications.

Requirements

Essential

✅ Experience or demonstrable interest in financial services ✅ Working proficiency in Microsoft Office: Intermediate Excel, basic Word. ✅ Exceptional interpersonal skills—able to communicate clearly and persuasively (verbally & in writing) with senior stakeholders. ✅ Ability to:

  • Distil complex information into concise, professional summaries
  • Solve problems quickly and accurately
  • Prioritise effective workload management under deadlines
  • Maintain high levels of customer service with speed and detail-oriented responses (both internal and external)

Desired (Not Essential)

🔹 If no prior financial services experience, a Scottish Higher/GCSE (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (Grade C or higher). 🔹 CISI Investment Operations Certificate is an advantage but not required. 🔹 Operational roles in financial institutions will be considered highly favourably, though we embrace L&D-driven transitions.
