Job Operations Intern Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre, Biggin Hill, UK

About the Role

Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre, situated just 14 miles from London, is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM (original equipment manufacturer) in the UK. This flagship facility and Base and Line Maintenance Centre supports operators across the UK and beyond, delivering a range of maintenance checks, modifications, and upgrades.

As a Job Operations Intern, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing efficiency in the operations workflow.


Key Contributions to the Team

  • Project & Data Management

    • Track project hours accurately.
    • Research and provide maintenance data for project work scopes.
  • Daily Audit & Compliance

    • Conduct daily audits of the work package.
    • Verify all SVOs (Schedule Change Orders) and related documents.
  • Parts Logistics & Workflows

    • Act as the parts runner, liaising with the materials department to collect spares.
    • Organise the bay parts cage and Request Timely Sourcing (RTS) of parts.

  • Administrative & QA Support

    • Assist certifying engineers with defect reporting in an administrative capacity.
    • Enter defect details into SAP when required.
    • Print and prepare QA0002A and QA009A defect forms into sleeves for distribution.
    • Ensure removed items have QA017 parts identification tags.
    • Confirm certifier inspections for removed/modified parts.
  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Collate and print MRA (Material Return Authorisation) forms for items returned to stores.
    • Prepare Gemba information ahead of Gemba meetings.
    • Organise Gemba board forms and ensure the bay plan is displayed.
  • Workspace Maintenance

    • Maintain a neat and welcoming work environment, including desk and work pack areas.
