Role: Operations Lead (Hybrid) London

Salary: £40,000

Purpose of the Role

The Operations Lead is responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation by providing operational, administrative, and financial support across departments. Working closely with the Head of Community & Delivery, the role ensures effective internal systems, financial administration, fundraising coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to help achieve the charity's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

  • Manage administrative tasks and organisational priorities.
  • Maintain and improve internal systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Support the Head of Community & Delivery with day-to-day operational activities.
  • Coordinate meetings, actions, and operational projects.
  • Ensure accurate records and reporting.

Community & Delivery Support

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal teams.
  • Assist with programme administration and delivery.
  • Coordinate resources and logistics for community initiatives.
  • Support planning and implementation of organisational projects.

Finance & Fundraising Administration

  • Manage donation records and financial administration.
  • Process income and expenditure accurately.
  • Support fundraising campaigns and maintain fundraising data.
  • Produce financial reports and reconcile donations where required.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with charity procedures.

General

  • Build effective working relationships across all departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and systems.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.
  • Coordinate information required for campaigns and communications.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in operations, project coordination, or program management, ideally within non-profit, education, or community-focused organisations.
  • Experience in Financial Administration, budgeting, or bookkeeping.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skilled with digital tools and platforms (e.g., spreadsheets, project management software, online communication tools) and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to attend in-person events in the London Area.
  • A genuine interest in the charity, community, or not-for-profit sector.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of charity finance and donor management systems.
  • Experience in fundraising administration and supporter stewardship.
  • Experience supporting organisational communications, including internal and external communications.
  • Experience coordinating classes, workshops, or events is highly beneficial; familiarity with public speaking or training programs is an advantage.
